There is in my eyes no comparison between these two timepieces, the Rolex has by far a superior build quality and design, with a reputation exceeding far beyond that of the otherwise lovely Omega.
Don’t you think these two watches are too different to be compared? One of them is a divers watch, the other one is a mechanical chronograph. You can compare this particular Rolex with a Planet Ocean, or the Spedmaster with a Rolex Daytona.
Anyway, both of them are beautiful.
rolex is a very nice watch.i think a lil overpriced though. i own adn actually have on right now a omega seamaster 300m…however mine has the steel bezel,not blue. ive never seen anyone else with this watch. i got it for xmas when i was 20 and i took it to an authorized omega dealer and they verified it as genuine.

I can only assume that those who have nothing else better to do but to just criticise the watch and the people who wear are them are ignoramouses or just plain envious. Who cares if a Rolex is associated with new rich ive had a ROLEX for over ten year and collected IWC, OMEGA, etc and yes i do like to wear them to impress others aswell as myself and i i not rich at all. I just like watches, the look, craftmenship and engineering and history that goes with wearing one of these fantastic pieces

but then again, it says more about them than about me…..
I love all well made watches, Breitling, BlancPain, IWC, Vacheron, Patek … the list is endless…
I love Porsche but also Ferrari , Lambo, Pagani etc etc

Omega Seamaster is a great watch… I love it too
but the Rolex Deepsea beats it… (although its 3 times as expensive, so in fact
not comparable…)
its all a matter of taste and bucks available
Devildoc225. So a UTS will “eat a Submariner for lunch”? Really? Tell me – UTS…..do they make thier own movements? Do they make every single part of thier watches? No…..thought not. That’s right, they buy already made movements, and modify them. Kind of like buying an Astom Martin with a Chevy engine. Nice eh?
No comparison between the two brands as the Rolex is far more exclusive. I have had 3 of each and gave my last Geneve away to my brother, he will definitely not be getting one of my Rolex. Omega ? owned by Tissot I believe, or is it Swatch ….. !!!

I actually think the cyclops (which is what the date magnifying glass is commonly known as) is a special feature of the Rolex.
@rarebear14 Rolex is a nice watch, but it’s more for the name. There are plenty of watches out there that perform equal to, or above Rolex. And for a lot less than 60 grand….
@rarebear14 Says what, that somebody has a lot of money to piss away? I’ve been diving professionally for 30 years. Commercial and Military. I swear by Omega Seamasters. I don’t wear it to make a statement. I don’t wear it while drinking afternoon tea, or playing squash… I wear it to use it. The Speedmaster you used to compare is NOT a Seamaster. Two very different watches. Try and compare a Rolex Sub to a UTS Dive Watch. The UTS will eat it for lunch…

You’re comparing apples with oranges. Rolex Sub vs. Omega Seamaster Professional or Rolex Cosmograph Daytona vs. Omega Speedmaster Professional would be a more appropriate comparison.
